In 2009, Michelin Group and Tamil Nadu government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Michelin’s tire manufacturing plant. This 290 acres facility is currently focused on manufacturing a range of Radial Truck/Bus tires.

Around our Chennai manufacturing unit, most of our community projects are designed in consultation with local stakeholders, and are implemented with the direct participation of beneficiaries (e.g. biogas programmes, and health and skill development).
