This position, as a key member of the ECA regional legal team, is based in theMichelin Europe Central and Central Asia HQin Bucharest, Romania,where our colleagues deliver excellence in Marketing and Sales, Quality, Cartography, IS/IT, Communication, Personnel, Finance, Service to Customer, Legal and Purchasing.

ECA region stands for Europe Central & Central Asia and is composed of 30 countries and jurisdictions. Our legal team counts 14 in-house lawyers based in 4 countries (Romania, Poland, Hungary and Serbia). We also manage a network of external lawyers in all the 30 countries of our region.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law;
  • Member of the Bucharest Bar or legal counsel (is a plus);
  • Solid legal knowledge and professional experience gained within a law firm ( at least 3 years );
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate with various stakeholders;
  • Fluency in written/spoken English is a must, any other foreign language is an advantage;
  • Proactive in risk prevention and mitigation;
  • Experienced in navigating complex legal landscapes;

Labor and Corporate Lawyer Responsibilities:

 Labor Law:

  • Offer expert advice on individual and collective working relations, employee protection, social dialogue, and health and safety.
  • Represent the company in Romanian courts across employment, civil, administrative, and criminal cases.
  • Participate in the legal training of operational managers and HR professionals, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and coherence in training content.
  • Monitor changes in labor laws, validate amendments to employment-related templates (contracts, regulations, disciplinary procedures), and ensure legal compliance.
  • Active member of the Labor and Tax Committees, contributing to policy development and compliance strategies.
  • Facilitate communication with external lawyers on individual and collective labor issues within designated regions.

Corporate Law:

  • Manage corporate legal activities including governance, financial law, M&A, and securities law, ensuring compliance with Group standards.
  • Provide comprehensive legal support for financial operations, strategic M&A transactions, and the management of securities law risks.
  • Enforce Group rules and policies across the company's legal framework.
  • Contribute to the accurate provision and management of legal information using Legal Management Tools (LMS).
  • Lead or support strategic M&A transactions and corporate projects, providing legal expertise to optimize outcomes.
  • Offer legal support for the Group’s Long-Term Incentive (LTI) plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective implementation.
