Assistant Consolidation Manager

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Contributes to the preparation and checking of company accounts in accordance with local standards,
  • Ensures application of Group and local standards and Ensures quality of accounts within his/her remit (completeness and risk assessment).
  • Act as main contact for the Chief Accountant, Financial Director and other stakeholders for the Beyond Road Europe Entities.
  • Define Chart of Account mapping solutions and (when required) coordinate local ERP changes with local finance teams to meet statutory reporting requirements (Michelin Central Team) and management reporting requirements.
  • Ensure 100% completion of the balance sheet reconciliation, classifications, and Conduct Balance sheet reviews with Business Partner to drive and clearing long outstanding balance.
  • Make all the necessary bookings, analysis and follow-up of the inter-company transactions. Provide during the closing the Code 1 reporting within the deadline and quality expected by the group.
  • Responsible in making sure Timely submission of global reports to facilitate group consolidation and management & coordination of Internal and External Audit with Globally nominated Audit partners
  • Coordinate with local teams and Michelin Central Team for Month end closing process changes and/or special process (mid-year and year-end process).
  • Follow-up with local finance teams if a risk is identified to not meet an important Michelin group deadline.
  • Maintain MySURF mapping between Camso Statutory reporting tools and Michelin consolidation tool (SURF) in order to meet stakeholder reporting requirements For Europe Beyond road entities.
  • Ensures compliance with R2R internal control manuals (except the Commitments Manual) by performing self-assessments and tracking non- conformity,
  • Produces all necessary supporting documentation required to deal with queries from tax authorities and other regulators,
  • Provide technical support to Europe Beyond Road local finance teams for central reporting tools (FDM, HFM Camso, CamSURF, MySURF, SURF). Coordinate with Michelin experts when required.
  • Sending Accounting reporting packages to the group in line with the deadline and at the quality expected
  • Partner with DOCBS in developing (simplification, efficiency, new needs,) the Record to Report process.
  • Train and develop Junior Accounting Staff in terms Of Accounting techniques and ERP expertise
  • Coordinating CBS cross functional teams during Problem Solving.

EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University;
  • Part qualification in CIMA (UK), CPA, ACCA (UK), CA (SL);
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge and experience with international accounting, finance and tax regulations will be an added advantage;
  • Experience in ERP system, preferably in SAP (FI, MM) or any other ERP system is preferred;
  • Strong change management skills;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to work in UK time zone;
  • Excellent level of verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Verbal and written communication skills in German language will be an Added Advantage.
